Leadership Changes at the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority

TOLEDO, Ohio, October 15, 2009 - STATEMENT OF BOARD CHAIRMAN WILLIAM J. CARROLL REGARDING LEADERSHIP CHANGES AT THE TOLEDO-LUCAS COUNTY PORT AUTHORITY

Earlier today the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority Board of Directors met to discuss an important personnel matter. This past Friday I was informed by our President, Michael Stolarczyk, that for family reasons it is necessary that he resign from service with the Port Authority effective later this month.

Although we are disappointed, we certainly understand and we wish Michael and his family the very best in the future.

The Board of Directors appoints Paul Toth as President and CEO of the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority effective immediately. Paul is a very talented employee who currently serves as Vice President of Technical and Financing Services and Interim Airports Director. He has over two decades of experience with the Port Authority and his leadership will provide great stability and focus for the organization.

I would like to thank my fellow board members as well as the hard working employees of the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority for their dedicated service, and we assure the community that the Port Authority will continue to focus on our mission to stimulate development in our region.
