cITY OF TOLEDO ENERGY PROJECT - BID PACKAGE 9 - INSULATION, ROOF TOP UNITS AND BOILER UPGRADES - COLLINS PARK WATER TREATMENT FACILITY

This contract is for the installation of pipe insulation, roof top units and boilers for the project entitled "City of Toledo Energy Project Bid Package 9 Insulation, Roof Top Units and Boiler Upgrades" at Collins Park Water Treatment Facility in the City of Toledo, in accordance with the approved specifications.

This project consists of furnishing and installing pipe and valve insulation, two (2) packaged roof top units and two (2) boiler economizers at the Collins Park Water Treatment Facility as specified in the technical specifications.  Proposed insulation, roof top units and boiler removal and all installation must be in accordance with the included technical specifications.

There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting followed by a site walk-through for this project for all prospective bidders on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at 2:00 PM at the Collins Park Water Treatment Facility located at 3040 York Avenue, Toledo, OH  43605,

Bids shall be typewritten or written in ink on the forms provided in the bid packet, are due by Friday, May 18, 2012 at 1:00 PM, and may be delivered to the office of the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority, One Maritime Plaza, Toledo, OH  43604 by hand, fax, regular mail or email to cyingling@toledoportauthority.org.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Directors that Sealed Bids will be received by the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority for:

LAKE ERIE PORT MANUFACTURING & INDUSTRIAL CENTER - PHASE 2

This contract is for all construction services necessary for the above-referenced project at Ironville (formerly known as the Chevron property), 2863 Front Street, Toledo, OH 43605, in accordance with the approved plans and specifications, for the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority at One Maritime Plaza, Toledo, OH 43604.

Bids will be received at the Port Authority’s administrative offices at One Maritime Plaza, Toledo, OH 43604 until Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at 10:30 a.m., at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The project is located at 2863 Front Street, Toledo, Ohio (formerly known as the Chevron Property). The proposed project is the redevelopment of an existing brownfield site, generally described as the construction of approximately 531 feet of sheet pile dock face and anchor wall along the Maumee River, installation of mooring bollards and dolphin, stone drives leading to and from a proposed asphalt loading area and dredging approximately 33,200 cubic yards of Maumee River bottom adjacent to the dock face.  The work limits are bounded by the Maumee River and an adjacent recently constructed industrial spur track. Primary work items consist of: Sheet Piling and installation of a fender system. Alternate Bid items include 100 ton and 50 ton bollards, river dredging, a 20’ diameter dolphin, embankment and stone drives, asphalt loading area, water quality structures and wetland mitigation. Engineer's Estimate: $1.66M (Base Bid) and $1.71M (Alternate Bid Items). 

Plans, Specifications, Instructions to Proposers, and Forms of Proposal and Contract are on file, and may be obtained by either (1) obtaining hard copies from Becker Impressions, 4646 Angola Road, Toledo, OH 43615, phone 419.385.5303, during normal business hours, or (2) ordering and paying through Becker Impressions’ plan room at www.beckerplanroom.com at a non-refundable price of $30.00.

Proposals must be submitted on the form included in the Specifications and shall be accompanied by a certified check or an acceptable Proposal Bond with satisfactory surety specifying the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority as the obligee, in the sum of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total proposal amount.

Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.

The successful bidder will be required to submit a Contract Bond and Certificate of Insurance.

The Port Authority’s goal for disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) participation in the project shall be fourteen percent (14%), and bidder shall provide documentation of its ability to achieve that goal or, if the Port Authority’s goal is not attainable by bidder, bidder shall provide an affidavit detailing why that goal was not attained. A bid that fails to meet this requirement will be considered non-responsive.

The lowest responsive and responsible bid shall be determined in accordance with the Port Authority’s Resolution No. 68-00 as found in the General Conditions.

The Port Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any technicalities as it may deem best for their interest. The Port Authority also reserves the right to add or subtract from quantities shown in the proposal.

REHABILITATE RUNWAY 7/25 - TOLEDO EXPRESS AIRPORT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Directors that Sealed Bids will be received by the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority for:

Rehabilitate Runway 7-25 at Toledo Express Airport

 

This contract is for all labor, material, insurance, and equipment necessary for the rehabilitation of Runway 7-25 located at Toledo Express Airport in Swanton, Ohio 43558, in accordance with the approved plans and specifications, to the Port Authority at One Maritime Plaza, Toledo, Ohio 43604.

 

Bids will be received at the Port Authority’s administrative offices at One Maritime Plaza, Toledo, OH 43604 until Thursday, May 3, 2012, at 11:30 AM, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The project “Rehabilitate Runway 7-25” consists of variable depth milling of an existing asphalt/composite runway (approximately 280,000 square yards), miscellaneous seal coating and crack rehabilitation (approximately 20,000 square yards),  bituminous surface and base course (approximately 70,000 tons), runway surface grooving (151,000 square yards) pavement marking (approximately 186,000 square feet of permanent, 65,000 square feet of black and 185,000 square feet of temporary and miscellaneous associated markings), installation of 2” PVC conduit (approximately 5,000 lineal feet in turf and 3,000 lineal feet in pavement), installation of #8 5kV underground cable (approximately 80,000 lineal feet), installation of runway and taxiway pavement lighting (approximately 432 runway in pavement lights and 90 runway edge lights), installation of L858 guidance signs (45 each), electrical vault improvements including ALCMS upgrades and seeding/mulching (approximately 6 Acres). Project may be awarded by the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority at its sole discretion.  The engineer’s estimate for this project is approximately $10,286,397.90.

This contract is for the installation of roof top units and unit heaters for the project entitled "City of Toledo Energy Project - Bid Package 8 - Roof Top Unit and Unit Heaters Upgrade" at four (4) locations in the City of Toledo, in accordance with the approved specifications.

This project consists of furnishing and installing eleven (11) packaged roof top units, three (3) unit heaters, and one (1) radiant heater removal at four (4) locations as specified in the technical specifications.  Proposed roof top units, unit heaters, radiant heater removal and all installation must be in accordance with the included technical specifications.

There is a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting scheduled followed by a site walk-through for this project for all prospective bidders on Monday, April 30, 2012, at 9:00 AM at the Transportation Building located at 110 N. Westwood Avenue, Toledo, OH. 

Bids are due on Monday, May 7, 2012, at 3:00 PM.  Bids shall be typewritten or written in ink on the forms provided in the bid packet, and delivered by hand, fax, or regular mail to the office of the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority, One Maritime Plaza, Toledo, OH  43604, or by email to cyingling@toledoportauthority.org.
